LAN Traffic Capture Applications Using the Libtins Library

Capturing traffic and processing its contents is a valuable skill that when put in the right hands makes diagnosing troubleshooting network issues an approachable task. Apart from aiding fixing common problems, packet capture can also be used for any application requires getting deeper understanding of how things work under hood. Many tools have been developed order to allow user study flow data inside network. This paper focuses on documenting process creating such showcasing their use different contexts. achieved by leveraging power C++ programming language libtins library create custom extensible sniffing tools, which are then VoIP (Voice over IP) IDS (Intrusion Detection System) applications.
